Ho-hum styling no more for the Honda Accord. Usually dressed in conservative styling, one of the North America's best selling family sedans is strutting a bit of flare at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. The distinctive Honda Accord Coupe Concept is receiving favorable reviews and is to set the tone for the upcoming, 8th-generation Accord.

The Accord Concept sports a 6-sided front grille flanked by two aggressively-styled projector headlamp units. The tall side body panels are sculpted to match the front and rear fender flares. There is a nice character line running the length of the car just below the window sill adding to the car's sporty appearance. The fastback roofline with the flowing window cut out is handsome. Capping off the rear are a few simple yet hard-edged lines, combined with the quad-exhausts highlight the car's muscular stance.

Little mechanical details are known for the Accord Coupe Concept. Honda tells us that the new car will have a more powerful but low-emission and fuel-efficient V-6 engine with the next-generation Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) and variable-valve technology (VTEC).
